This man-made island lies just off the east coast of Mahé (only a few minutes from the capital, Victoria, and the airport) and is connected to the main island by a short bridge.

Whether it's fresh sushi, authentic Indian cuisine, Italian pizza, or a cool SeyBrew beer sundowner overlooking the illuminated yachts, life here pulsates in the evenings without ever becoming hectic.

Eden Island has no traditional hotels, but exclusively private luxury apartments, elegant maisons and gigantic villas, many of them with their own boat dock right in front of the living room.

• Exclusive beach fun: Although the island is artificial, its construction didn't skimp on idyllic beaches. There are four beautifully landscaped, private sandy beaches (such as Anse Bernik or Anse Bernitier ) that are exclusively available to the island's residents and guests.
